Infrastructure Program Manager
Senior Manager level O7 to O9
Location – Local, near Burbank or willing to relocate
Overall purpose of the role: Responsible for successful delivery and client satisfaction across the portfolio of Infrastructure projects throughout the project lifecycle, from initial project request through acceptance and handover to ongoing support teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Interacts frequently and directly with the highest levels of IT and client management to ensure accomplishment of project goals, coordinates activities of participating functional departments, and monitors performance and project progress.
- Oversight of requirements gathering, solution development, estimation and prioritization processes for project initiation and selection
- Identifies necessary resources, assembles project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops schedules to ensure timely completion, and manages program/project financials.
- Directs project managers and technical resources assigned to program/project from the project resource pool as well as offshore, 3rd party vendors and infrastructure organizations.
- Accountable for program/project success and resolution of risks and issues that arise.
- Ensures compliance with standard Project Lifecycle Methodology and Framework including, but not limited to, resource forecasting, estimation, scheduling, quality assurance, financial tracking, and project metrics (earn/burn, EAC, ETC).
- Interfaces with the support groups to ensure successful handover at project completion.
- Maintains exceptional knowledge of the standard system development life cycle and infrastructure management technologies and best practices.
Required:
- 5 years of engagement management experience with expertise in Infrastructure Management delivery ; 10 years work experience minimum
- Extensive operational or delivery experience in one or more of networks, servers, storage and desktop areas
- Executive presence and experience dealing with high level internal and external executives
- Strong communication skills and experience leading project teams of 30 people across different locations/countries
- Solid experience managing profit/loss, billings and sourcing for large organizations with experience facilitating outside vendors
- Minimum 5 years of solid experience with standard project management tools (such as MS Project, Clarity etc.)
Preferred:
- Industry domain knowledge in Media and Entertainment
- Professional services, Consulting or Outsourcing experience preferred
- Experience managing infrastructure in support of ERP applications (SAP)
- PMP Certification.
