Senior Finance Manager
Responsibilities:
Directs the preparation of period and year-end financial statements to ensure that they are presented in an accurate and timely manner – in accordance with company policy and accounting standards.
Manages preparation of the annual strategic plan and operating budget for Indonesia operation in conjunction with the Country Managers and Business Line leaders.
Monitors the annual strategic plan and operating budget and initiates actions as necessary.
Responsible for maintaining positive banking relationships with the company’s local financial institution. Ensure compliance with bank reporting requirements.
Maintains favorable relationships and communication with the company’s auditors.
Ensures effective internal controls are established and maintained.
Manages all aspects of tax compliance and reporting for Indonesia operation, ensuring compliance and coordinating with tax agents as required.
Coordinates and provides information for tax and other government agency audits.
Oversees preparation of periodic forecasts and projections by to include pro forma income statements and supporting schedules. Reports regional performance to senior management team at least once each period highlighting significant variances, problem projects, cash flow and other key information with a recommended action plans.
Reviews contracts and participates in pricing and negotiations for major projects.
Reviews and analyzes request for capital expenditures.
Monitors overhead expenses to ensure that they are maintained at the minimum level required for effective operations.
Conducts project performance reviews on a consistent basis with an emphasis on potential problem jobs. Works with Country Managers and Business Line leaders on a correction action plan when target multipliers are not anticipated to be achieved.
Oversees development, implementation and maintenance of the regions financial systems.
Develops strategies to support and enhance the firm’s financial planning and reporting needs.
Ensures that effective policies and procedures are established and well maintained.
Coordinate, mentor and provide direction to the work of finance staff.
Requirements:
MBA and CPA or Chartered Accountant is preferred.
A minimum of 12 years’ experience in similar finance management position with a multi-national foreign enterprise, background in accounting, and finance and project management in a consulting environment preferred.
Previous working experience in a US public accounting firm work is considered a plus.
Need to be able to operate effectively in English and communicate with confidence.
Previous experience working with Oracle financial suite is a benefit.
Proven success implementing and managing operations from a financial perspective in a professional services firm, preference given to candidates from an Engineering or architecture background.
Excellent written, verbal and presentational communication skills with the ability to relate effectively to technical and non-technical staff at all levels.
Previous people management experience and exhibits commitment to teambuilding and fostering positive office morale. Experience in managing in a multi-site, cross-cultural environment.
Experience working within an international organization is desirable. Solid understanding of international business issues including; foreign exchange, local statutory and tax reporting issues, contracts, banking and treasury.
Supports the core values of the firm through actions and accomplishments.
Strong leadership skills are a required and an ability to stand up to practice leadership to insure company policies and procedures are followed.
